Review: Thirsty Juices and Shakes

In 1993, Cebu got introduced to a healthier alternative to the usual soda, softdrinks and artificially-flavored shakes and juices sold in nearly every corner.

You can’t miss Thirsty Juices and Shakes as they are available in nearly every large mall in Cebu City. Of course, their convivial green color motif and large logo is hard to miss.

Thirsty Juices and Shakes serves a wide variety of fresh juices and shakes. Thirsty uses fresh, natural ingredients and you can really see how your juice or shake is made. Their products are not pre-packaged, so that’s a plus.

I have only tried their Avocado shake, Carrot shake (which was blah but oh so nutritious), Guyabano shake, Strawberry shake and my all-time favorite Mango shake. Truth be told, I’m still a champion of their Mango shake which also has a sugar-free, low-fat variety. I think it’s called Thirsty Lite  -- just tell the sales girl to have non-fat milk and artificial sweetener in place of the usual milk and sugar. For those of you who love fresh buko, they also sell fresh buko juice.
