May 1 2018 Labor Day Gift - Pres. Duterte signs EO against unlawful contractualization
President Rodrigo Duterte signed an EO against illegal contracting and sub-contracting on May, 1 2018 - in celebration of Labor Day, in Cebu City.
Labor groups, however, had wanted a section that  prohibits all forms of contracting or subcontracting, thereby making direct hiring the general norm in employment relations.
